Getting sustainable funding is part of [The Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure](https://openscholarlyinfrastructure.org/), but unfortunately, it often seems to be a problem for these sorts of projects. It was interesting that the article also noted that governance of preprint services was also problematic – I didn’t expect that, but am not surprised. Setting up a good governance structure is probably at the back of the todo-list when you are building a new open science platform 😃
