Srija Sanyal is a double Master’s degree holder in English Literature from the University of Delhi and IGNOU with specialization in Indian Folk Studies and Comparative Literature. She is currently pursuing her research as an independent scholar while engaged in academic think-tank and publishing sector as an editorial professional. She has published research works in various national and international journals, along with presenting her paper in multiple prestigious seminars organized by premier academic institutions, including University College Dublin, Ireland and Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna), India. She also recently completed a certificate course on Feminist Dissent offered by the University of Warwick. She has been recipient of several accolades to pursue her research, including EACLALS Triennial Conference Scholars Award and Global Souths Conference Award. She aims to pursue PhD in the long run with a focus on gender and its representation in Indian cinema, along with the role of language in constructing, asserting, and deconstructing power structures in the postcolonial context.
