This seems like a great step forward in terms of research transparency and reproducibility (and of course open source).
When I looked at ELifes example articles, I thought they looked similar to interactive figures I’ve seen in the journal Distill. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that the latest article in Distill is a discussion on interactive articles, which I think is quite complementary.
