I’m playing with the thought of creating a forum category for whistle-blowing. Maybe a closed category to which you need to apply for access? My thought is that people in this category could support each other and ask each other for guidance on how to handle e.g. supervisors who p-hack, or how to cope with feeling forced to yourself p-hack.
I think it’s a good idea. I have doubts on calling it whistle-blowing… but right now I can’t come up with alternatives (sorry ). I would advertise it as a (private) space where participants can share their problematic experiences and solutions (e.g., was there an agreement between the parts or did HR have to be involved?). This would ideally provide support to them, motivate other people to adopt similar approaches (“standing up to QRPs is not useless and would not necessarily hurt my career”), and might help us create broad guidelines that could be posted publicly. How does that sound?
