Carl Salk

Warm welcome to IGDORE, Carl Salk!

I survived my PhD at Duke University where I studied climate change impacts on temperate trees. My recent projects have been a random walk through community forest management, land cover mapping, and forest ecology, among others. I now work at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and specialize in pestering university administration about non-transparent management practices. English is my mother tongue, and I enjoy sharing my unearned expertise about it. I’m also a heavy user of R, and am happy to help beginners overcome the initial frustrations of that tool.
